Day Center

It is a semi-residential facility, accredited and contracted for 15 places, which offers guests a personalized rehabilitation program, aimed at improving autonomy and recovering resocialization skills and personal autonomy.

The service is active from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and on Saturday from 9:00 to 13:00. Attendance can be full-time (more than 4 hours) or part-time (less than 4 hours).

The proposal for each user to participate in the various activities is motivated by their specific needs.

The activities that are organized are the following:

  • self-care (activities that motivate and monitor personal care)
  • recovery of everyday life
  • manual activities
  • expressive activities
  • bodily activity
  • cultural activities
  • weekly group discussion

Group or individual outings are usually scheduled within the activity. Outings do not normally entail additional expenses for patients, with the exception of any personal expenses, unless it involves participation in paid events such as, for example, theatrical performances and concerts.

Who is it aimed at?

The structure welcomes users, sent by the Mental Health Department of ASST Pavia, with the following characteristics:

  • adults of any age
  • Diagnosis of psychiatric pathology
  • Absence of an acute condition
  • Absence of primary dementia or severe mental retardation

Delivery method

The fee is paid by the National Health Service (SSN).

Activation of the service

APPLICATION FOR ACCEPTANCE

The CPS (Mental Health Centre), having identified the patient’s need for hospitalization, forwards a request to the Day Center for an evaluation. The report includes:

  • Patient’s clinical history
  • Diagnosis
  • Therapy
  • Other useful information to define the patient’s clinical condition and needs

If the application is accepted, a preliminary visit to the facility is organized together with:

  • Patient
  • Relatives
  • Legal protection figure (if present)
  • Centre for Mental Health (CPS)

The objectives of the preliminary visit are:

  • Reduce trauma related to relocation
  • Gradually get to know the staff and other patients
  • Familiarize yourself with the planned activities

On the agreed day for first access, the user must show up at the facility at the agreed time.

The Villa Rondo complex is located in Vigevano (PV) in Via Manara Negrone 28, about 10 minutes walk from Piazza Ducale.
