Aldo Rondo and Ambrogina Sormani donated their villa to the Maddalena Grassi Foundation, hence the name \u201c<strong>Villa Rondo<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>\u201cA good work\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was Ambrogina Sormani who decided to leave all assets to the Foundation. Suffering from an oncological disease, she came into contact with Marco Botturi, a well-known Milanese oncologist and radiotherapist who deeply affected her. Botturi introduced her to some friends, including Alessandro Pirola, CEO of the Maddalena Grassi Foundation in those years, with whom she established a relationship of friendship and esteem.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201c[\u2026] he told me that had given precise testamentary provisions and that, at the end of an infinite series of hypothetical conditions, he had opted not to do so, &#8220;but &#8211; he added in a peremptory tone, pointing his right index finger to my face &#8211; you must build a good work in this house&#8221; .<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A. I met you forever,<\/em>Itaca editions, July 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We began to develop a psychiatric care and assistance project on the proposal of Alessandro Alemani, psychiatric head at the Vigevano hospital, who imagined a transformation of the villa into a nursing home for psychiatric patients aimed at rehabilitating them to an independent life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The pose of the first stone<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On <strong>April 29, 2002<\/strong> the symbolic laying of the first stone took place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The psychiatric facility of Villa Rondo was born< \/strong><\/p>\n<p>In <strong>2005 <\/strong>the Foundation inaugurated the opening of the structure which included a Medium Intensity Psychiatric Community with 20 beds, a Healthcare Residence for the Disabled with 18 beds, a Day Center for 20 users and a clinic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The renovation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of <strong>2011<\/strong> a significant renovation of the villa; the clinic is closed to create new, better organized spaces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The transfer of RSD and CD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following the restructuring, the RSD and the Day Center are transferred to the new wing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The <\/strong><strong>second CPM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the area of \u200b\u200bthe building left by the RSD, a new Medium intensity Psychiatric
